Everyone meet Leslie, she’s a babe and I took her to the Bloggers Hangout event on Monday to give her a little insight into the world of blogging. We chatted to bloggers and brands and we had a great time.
I totally fell in love with this dress by Jones + Jones and I seriously want it! In fact most of the clothes by Jones + Jones were beautiful with unique designs and quirky cuts.
When I saw the Jurlique stand I was super excited and not just because they were doing hand massages, although that was definitely a bonus but I’ve heard a lot of good things about the brand. I’ve tried their Rose finishing powder before which I really liked. On the evening the lovely Claire was giving everyone hand massages and finished it off by spritzing us with the Rosewater Balancing Mist and we were given a bottle to take home.
I got to see Lauren again who was getting her hair done by hair stylist Amy from Paul Mitchell. If you want to see more of Lauren and who wouldn’t because she’s awesome, you can check out a couple of my previous posts where we were strolling around Notting Hill and taking some outfit snaps; Monochrome Madness and The Biker Pants.
I’m so looking forward to trying this Gel Touch Kit by United Beauty at home. The founder Alex was there on the night and demonstrated how it all works and my nails are still going strong with no chips, which is rare for me. You apply the gel top coat on top of any nail colour and then place it under the UV light for 1 minute giving you longer lasting nails.
This is the Rosewater Balancing Mist that delivers a burst of freshness on top of or underneath makeup.
I’d never heard of Kenneth Turner before the event and I was pleasantly surprised, they do candles, accessories for candles, perfumes and hand lotion. I was kindly gifted with a bottle of their hand lotion which I was told I could also use as body lotion and I must say it smells so fresh. I love the fact it has a pump dispenser so I don’t have to dip my fingers into a tub.
These brushes from LAB2 are so unbelievably soft, I’ll be using them in a video soon. I’m excited to try their beauty sponge as I have the Beauty Blender which I LOVE and haven’t felt the need to try anything else, it will be interesting to see how a cheaper alternative compares.
The gorgeous ladies at Paul Mitchell gave us a goody bag and the thing I’m most looking forward to trying is the Dry Wash dry shampoo.
I would like to say a massive thank you to all of the brands at the event that gifted us with products, I’m so excited to try them. If you’re itching to go to some events to meet other bloggers and connect with brands then sign up to the Bloggers Hangout website.
And thank you Leslie for coming with me, I hope you enjoyed it.
Who else went to the event? Leave me your links in the comments, I’d love to read your posts.
