Bloggers, Brands and Sweets can only mean one thing… a blogger event, this time organised by the fabulous Lauren and Abi. I’ve been to a few of these types of events now and I always look forward to them as I get to see familiar faces and make new friends.
You’ve seen Jewellery Box around these parts before and for good reason. They’re a brand that are ticking all of the boxes for me at the moment, from their products to their customer service. Everything is a major yes from me, I mean just look at their cute displays! If you want more of a Jewellery Box fix then you can see some bits I picked up from their pop up shop which I’m always wearing.
I seriously need some sunglasses, although by the time I actually get round to buying some the sun will most definitely have disappeared, I mean even as I’m typing this it’s raining… good old British weather. These Two Three glasses were my favourite from their collection and look so psychedelic- totally up my street.
There was a new brand which launched on the day of the Big Blogger Expo, Bonnie Boo Gifts, catering for all of your baby gift needs. These cute little things are actually diapers wrapped up in socks! I mean serious cute points, am I right?! I have my sisters baby shower coming up so I wanted to know if they did baby shower events, although its not something they do now as they’re such a new company it’s something they are hoping to venture in to.
One of the prettiest displays was courtesy of Borough Box, to be honest anything that involves food is always going to be a hit. They are essentially a market place that connects you to producers of food and drink which can be delivered straight to your door.
My favourite discovery of the day was Jody Bell and her beautiful designs. This pink number caught my eye hanging on the rail and I had to try it on because it was just too damn pretty not to, it fitted perfectly and draped in all the right places. Lara was on hand to take photos of us bloggers trying on our favourites pieces and I’m so in love!
I’ve heard about Dr. PawPaw but never tried any of their products, a multi purpose balm that can be used any where and also comes in two tinted versions. I’ve seen the original popping up in a few makeup artists kits so I’m thinking I’ll be dropping that into mine and keeping the tinted versions for myself.
I’ll be shaking some Epsom Salts into my next bath for some muscle relief as my back always seems to be in pain but I’m hoping these actually work.
The ladies at the Living Proof stand were so helpful and I’m looking forward to trying the dry shampoo as it actually cleans the hair whilst removing sweat and odour…nice! I have coloured hair and try to minimise the amount I have to wash my hair so I can already tell I’m going to like this product.
At the end of the day, a few of us headed to the bar to grab a drink and a bite to eat. I wanted a group photo before everyone left and it’s so lovely to know that we all have this one thing in common; we write about a range of things on a small piece of the internet which we call our own and to know that it’s brought us together is pretty damn awesome when you think about it.
Thank you again to Lauren and Abi for organising such a fabulous event and to all of the brands that came along to show us what they’re all about.
