The Skincare Replenishment

20 Mar , 2016

I’m a skincare hoarder, I love trying out new products so I thought I’d share the latest skincare bits that I’ve bought. I generally don’t tend to re-purchase things as there’s so much on the market to try but a few of these products I just had to buy again because they’re bloomin’ fabulous and I loved them the first time round.

I guess I’ll crack on with the ones I’ve re-purchased. First up is the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm, which is a lightweight solid balm that is massaged onto dry skin working wonders at dissolving makeup, even waterproof mascara! I use a wet muslin cloth or flannel and it all comes off with ease. It’s not scented either so if you have particularly sensitive skin then I’d recommend giving this one a go. My first tub of this is on it’s last legs, so much so I wasn’t using it purely because I didn’t want it to run out but now I’m all stocked up.

The Origins Ginzing Moisturiser is literally the best smelling thing ever and is a huge factor as to why I re-purchased this product. It’s lightweight and settles into the skin pretty quickly making it great for application under foundation, yet it still provides the right amount of hydration for my skin.

I kid you not, the Origins United State Balancing Tonic is one of those products that does what it says on the tin and does it bloody well! The clincher for me when I first bought the toner was reading this sentence on the back ‘disunited dry and oily areas come comfortably together as one.’ At the time my skin was misbehaving and I really noticed a difference whilst using it, everything balanced out and my skin was left feeling smooth.

The Origins Original Skin Renewal Serum with Willowherb has a lot to live up to, according to it’s claims it will de-stress, smooth roughness, eradicate dullness, shrink pores and minimise flaws. Good luck mate, I’m rooting for you!

I’ve heard good things about the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask promising a more hydrated and youthful looking you by the morning. It contains Japanese Seaweed which apparently helps to retain moisture in the skin and I am all about skin hydration. PLEASE live up to the hype!

Oh look, another product that’s great for hydration, surprised? Nah me either. The Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins Skin Refining Oil is designed to smooth, hydrate and to give a vibrant look to the skin. I haven’t used this yet but it does smell rather relaxing. I’m really enjoying using oils on my skin, I’m currently using a Trilogy one which is doing a great job so once that’s done I’ll be cracking on with this bad boy.

I needed to pick up a new evening moisturiser so I went for the accompanying moisturiser to the oil, the Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins Oil Free Cream, I believe this also comes in a non oil free version. Hopefully this moisturiser along with the oil will give my skin the boost that it needs especially on those nights when I don’t get the best sleep.

I remember a time when everyone and their mother was raving about the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair which essentially fights the signs of ageing, so come on serum make me look like a baby!

I’m in love with the Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen. It’s the most beautiful thing EVER! Yes it’s disgustingly expensive, is it worth it? I still don’t know but I love it. There’s a felt pen on either side, one end is slightly smaller and more precise. Not going to lie, I feel pretty snazzy when I use this to do my winged liner. Oh how times have changed from my £2.99 Collection 2000 eyeliner days. This eyeliner makes me feel like a proper grown up, mainly cos it costs an atrocious amount!

I know it’s pretty Origins heavy but I love the products I’ve tried from them so far so I thought I’d go crazy and order some more. I’m slowly introducing these products into my regime as I don’t want my skin to feel overloaded with new stuff and to start having a meltdown.

Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products I’ve mentioned and how you’ve got on with them.
